Collage Art

The term vitrail (derived from the French word, though the l is silent in Persian) refers to painting on glass, very similar to stained glass.  This art form can still be seen today in some Iranian churches, but it is also popular for creating Persian miniatures.

The collage art in this section includes elements of vitrail as well as stained glass, mirror work and paintings.
