Dimensions: 48 x 24 cm.  This vintage print has some slight wear around the edges of the border due to age; this does not affect the actual image and will not be visible once the print is properly matted and framed.

The caption on the bottom of the print reads as follows:

The Investiture of Ardeshir II Taq-e Bustan, Kermanshah

A rock-face frieze at Taq-e Bustan representing the investiture of Ardeshir II (379-383 AD). On the left, standing upon a lotus flower, is the god Mithra, identifiable by the rays surrounding his head; on the right is Ahura Mazda, who hands the king his diadem. Prostrate beneath the feet of the great god and of the king is the body of a vanquished enemy, apparently a Roman.
