Item No. 1411

This is a silver pendant that can be worn with a chain around the neck. It is small (the penny to the right is shown for scale), so it would also make a nice addition to a charm bracelet.

Om is the most important syllable in Hinduism as it represnts Brahman, the impersonal absolute deity who is the source of all manifest existence. Brahman is considered incomprehensible, and so this symbol is a means of realizing the unknowable.

Om is the eternal syllable, with the past, present and future included in one sound. All that exists beyond the three forms of time are also implied in it.
