This mirror features the quality khatam karee inlay that is as much a work of art as a functioning object. There are 250 pieces of wood, metal and other materials for every cubic centimeter of inlay. The hand-painted designs feature a pattern which is called esleemee in Persian. There is no English translation, but the closest word is mosaic.
