Like other Eastern cultures, Persians customarily drink hot tea from glasses rather than cups.  These decorative tea glasses (called estekan in Persian) are hand-painted and commemorate the Qajar Dynasty.  This dynasty lasted from 1797 until 1925.

Each glass stands about 6" (15 cm) high.
