This box is shaped like an old-fashioned pirate's treasure chest. In Persian, this design is called yakhchal.

The box is constructed from Persian ebony, and the top is made of negomee (ironwork). The intricate carvings and finish give the box an antique look that will appeal to interior designers as well as collectors. You can obtain a small lock to use with it.
