Parvin Ehtesami

Parvin Ehtesami (1907-1941) was one of the first truly prominent female poets in Iran. Although she lived a relatively sheltered life by modern standards, she was nonetheless highly observant of the world around her. Her compassion for the human condition led to her highly original poetic voice, in which she would use natural events as allegories for people's difficulties.
