This is a classic Persian romantic image, very reminiscent of poems such as the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam with the jug of wine.  It features wood with khatam inlay and the woman's image stands out from the rest of the wood background painting, creating a three-dimensional effect.  The moaraq comes with a metal eyelet mounted on the back, ready to display on your home or office wall.  Signed by the artist (see lower left).
